Accepted must complete each of the following before being raised to Aes Sedai:
- Design and complete a second MoN-approved Community Contribution Project.
- Complete and pass two (2) elective classes (one must be roleplay).
- Create and post a new, MoN-approved elective class.
- Complete and pass the Test for the Shawl.
How the Accepted raising system works:
To advance in rank within the White Tower, initiates must complete a series of steps. It is hoped that along the way initiates will both improve their roleplaying skills AND become integral parts of The Great Hall's general community. Differing from most other roleplays, more than just in-character activities are required for raising. Accepted must earn the right to advance senior membership as Aes Sedai, both though classes of a unique format as well as through outside contribution to the community.
Currently, there are no time restrictions on how long an Accepted must take to advance. However, the above listed requirements are a bare minimum for raising to Aes Sedai and among several things the Amyrlin will be assessing when approving requests for raising are member maturity and overall community participation and contribution while an Accepted. This is especially important for those who are not heavy roleplayers and do not intend to pursue more roleplay than is required for advancement.
The two required elective classes may or may not be roleplay based on the Accepted's preference. Each will be graded on a pass/fail basis. The Accepted Community Contribution Project is expected to be a larger undertaking than the novice project and may be a continuation of the previous contribution. Again it is entirely open to anything the Accepted can brainstorm, so long as it meets the approval of the Mistress of Novices. Highly suggested is still some sort of contribution to the WoTWiki, whether doing research and creating new pages or adding to already existing content. Accepted may begin their CCP at any time after being raised from novice. The Test for the Shawl is an interactive examination designed to test knowledge of both the White Tower and The Great Hall. It is graded on a percentage scale, scores higher than 60% will pass. Unlike the final testing in the Wheel of Time books, Accepted will be allowed to retake the exam once per week until they pass. The Test for the Shawl will not be given until all other Accepted requirements are complete.
